Our Journey

​Established in 2014, Respectful Renos & Decks stared as a construction company in Edson, AB building oilfield warehouses and offices. After 1 year and many successful projects there my young family and I decided to move to the big city and grow into a residential renovation company. After 4 years of working alongside a home builder that starts with a Jay, haha; we had completed many basement developments and new home frost wall framing but we wanted an adventure. We then moved to Salt Spring Island for 6 months and lived in a wood heated log cabin with no electricity. It was not long after we arrived that the word got out that there was a carpenter on the Island. My phone started blowing up with locals wanting work done. I ended up building so many decks in beautiful places overlooking the ocean that is discovered my true passion that is decks and outdoor living. After our time there we decided to move back to our city and raise our family here and become the deck specialty company we are today.
